Nuit Blanche always reminds me of the vive la fête song, even though I'm sure they don't have much in common with each other. Anyways, Saturday night was Nuit Blanche in Paris, so we took to the streets to see what kind of excitement was offered this year. Hôtel de Ville was lit up with the words 'love differences' in about twenty-something languages, which was fun, and the Pont Île Saint Louis was also lit up, with strange boxy lights representing Samsung's 3-D televisions. Paris put on its party shoes Saturday night and the culture vultures came out to play. For every expo, queues wrapped around buildings and poured onto neighboring streets, so we decided to just soak up the lights around the city. The rose window of Notre Dame was lit up, giving the classic landmark a fun touch for the night.
