As my parents are in town this week, I am taking advantage to revisit the city and get to know it all over again - from the highest of heights!

Yesterday our trip through the city took us up to the Butte Montmartre and ended atop the Eiffel Tower - how's that for a site-seeing whizz through town?

Of course, I thought this would be typically the best outfit for me to wear!

There are a few simple things that can brighten up the grimmest of days - the sun exploding into the apartment at sunset giving everything the most intense shade of orange glow imaginable, red lipstick, finding a good movie on TV.

springing forward

we had the first real glimmer of springtime this weekend - clean blue skies, crisp breezes, first ice cream cone of the year, strolling through the streets and parks of the city - perfect for enjoying a sunday afternoon before monday mayhem begins again.

wind and grey skies aren't exactly what i was expecting for the beginning of March but I decided to go with it yesterday morning and colored my outfit inspired by the sky. hoping for bright shades of blue in the days to come and definitely warmer weather to welcome spring !!
